On 13 May a meeting was held in the Ministry of the Environment between PWEA Vice-President Mrs. Anna Pasławska-Misztal and Mr. Minister Stanisław Gawłowski and General Environmental Protection Director, Mr. Michał Kiełsznia.
The meeting was to discuss the investors’ problems stemming from newly established conservation plans for NATURA 2000 sites, procedures implemented on the basis of the Act on the disclosure of information about the environment and its protection, public participation in environmental protection and environmental impact assessments, as well as difficulties in obtaining certificates on lack of investments’ effects on NATURA 2000 sites, required as an appendix to the application for financing under Measure 9.4 of the OP IaE. The parties declared the will to cooperate in removing the discussed barriers to wind power development.
Minister Gawłowski was invited to participate in a press conference, organised during celebrations of the Global Wind Day on 15 June in Szczecin.
