We have completed educational meetings with inhabitants and tourists in coastal towns. The first days of holidays in Gda\u0144sk, Rowy and Ustka saw the \u201cSail With the Wind of Fun\u201d zones organised under the Polish Wind Energy Association\u2019s \u201cSail With the Wind\u201d campaign. <\/strong><\/h5>\n

The \u201cSail With the Wind of Fun\u201d event was a perfect opportunity to have fun with family, check one\u2019s knowledge about renewable energy sources and gain new information, primarily about offshore wind and benefits for the environment, economy, coastal municipalities and their inhabitants related to its development.<\/p>\n

Each participant received educational and leisure materials (educational brochures with crosswords and games) as well as gadgets, such as kites with the campaign\u2019s logo.<\/p>\n

The events, located in popular tourist towns, attracted significant attention. Participants were particularly attracted to team activities, such as construction of own \u201cwind turbine\u201d from wooden blocks using a special crane or team-drawing of a wind turbine with a metre-long pen.<\/p>\n

Polish coast exhibits a substantial potential for offshore development. Therefore, it is crucial for both its inhabitants and tourists to be aware of the opportunities they are facing. Therefore, the series of \u201cSail With the Wind of Fun\u201d events will return to the Polish coast in the second half of August \u2014 to Ko\u0142obrzeg, Choczewo and W\u0142adys\u0142awowo.<\/p>\n

The event is part of the Polish Wind Energy Association\u2019s \u201cSail With the Wind\u201d educational and information campaign financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.<\/p>\n

Next to the events, the campaign features radio and TV educational and information spots, broad Internet measures, including on national information websites and Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, and a billboard campaign. After the holiday, PWEA will also organise a series of lectures in coastal universities, with the leading theme being development opportunities related to offshore wind.<\/p>\n

Renewable energy sources are particularly important due to energy security, electricity costs, local economy development opportunities or the condition of the air we breathe every day. Therefore, it is crucial to educate on wind energy and the entire RES sector. The \u201cSail With the Wind\u201d Campaign is an answer to these needs, demonstrating that wind farms bring benefits to the environment, economy, energy sector and local communities.<\/p>\n

The \u201cSail With the Wind\u201d campaign is a response to the plans for a dynamic growth of the wind energy sector in Poland, both in terms of onshore and offshore projects. The outlook of new wind farm investments requires promotion of knowledge about the technology and its impact on energy security and efficiency. Through the measures implemented with the NFEPWM\u2019s support we want to demonstrate to Polish citizens how important, safe, and inexpensive is to produce electricity from wind,\u201d <\/em>said Ma\u0142gorzata \u017bmijewska-Kukie\u0142ka, PWEA Campaign Coordinator<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Measures related to the campaign will be carried out until the end of Q1\/2024.<\/p>\n
