The RE-Source Poland Hub Foundation, established by PWEA, takes additional actions to open up the corporate PPA market in Poland.<\/p>\n

In November a PWEA Steering Committee Working Group was established, chaired by Grzegorz Skar\u017cy\u0144ski.
\nThe working group represents the interests of the wind industry within RE-Source Poland Hub, supports the Hub in matters related to cPPAs, educational activities and in the involvement of industrial energy offtakers in joint activities.<\/p>\n

Group members take part in the work on a report on barriers to development of corporate PPAs in Poland with proposed solutions. The report will be presented at the upcoming RE-Source Poland Conference<\/a> on 4-5 February 2020, alongside the presentation of the Polish version of corporate PPA standard developed by EFET.<\/p>\n

The upcoming conference will also see the launch of the Polish version of “Introduction to Corporate Sourcing of Renewable Electricity in Europe” \u2013 a report developed by RE-Source Platform. This practical guide to feasible variants of corporate PPAs, with examples of transactions from European markets, will help energy offtakers understand the available formulas and select the one applicable to their case. The models discussed will be accompanied by references to the Polish energy market regulations, which we hope will also be a hint to decision-makers regarding regulatory changes necessary for Polish businesses to be able to use energy from RES for their activities.<\/p>\n

The decision on the need to prepare a Polish version of this introduction to corporate sourcing was made after meetings held under the auspices of RE-Source Poland Hub.<\/p>\n

In November representatives of the Hub, Grzegorz Skar\u017cy\u0144ski and Maciej Kowalski, carried out training on corporate power purchase agreements for civil servants from energy departments in the previous ministries of energy, enterprise and technology.<\/p>\n

In December a meeting was held between RE-Source members and representatives of industrial energy offtakers. Attendees included members of the CO2 Forum and the Electricity and Gas Offtakers Forum. On 15 January a meeting is planned between RE-Source Poland Hub members and a broader representation of organisations from these groups.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
