PWEA has developed a position paper on the updated draft of Poland’s Energy Policy by 2040.<\/h4>\n

On 8 November the Ministry of Energy has submitted the updated draft of the document entitled “Poland’s Energy Policy until 2040 \u2013 development strategy for the fuel and energy sector” (hereinafter called #PEP2040).<\/p>\n

In response, PWEA has prepared and published its position paper<\/a>. Some changes have been proposed with regard to the development of the Polish economy, keeping it competitive and making it more innovative, as well as reducing Poland’s dependence on fossil fuels and imports.<\/p>\n

Changes proposed by PWEA:<\/h5>\n
    \n
  1. Allowing for location of new onshore wind farms<\/li>\n
  2. Reinstating the provisions on the target potential for offshore wind of at least 10.3 GW by 2040, present in the previous version of the PEP2040 draft.<\/li>\n
  3. It is recommended to use adequate vocabulary and to replace the term “unstable RES” with “variable RES”, as wind and solar installation provide variable power generation depending on the season or time of day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
