The Prime Minister appointed two deputy ministers at the Ministry of State Assets.
Janusz Kowalski took the position of the Secretary of State and government representative for reform of corporate supervision over state-owned companies.
In turn, Zbigniew Gryglas became Undersecretary of State.
The nominations were presented on 12 December 2019 by Vice-Premier and Minister of State Assets, Jacek Sasin.
The Minister of State Assets will take over corporate oversight over 210 companies fully or partially owned by the State Treasury, including companies from the energy, resources and defence sectors, as well companies such as PZU (insurance), GPW (Warsaw Stock Exchange) or PKO BP bank.
The Minister of State Assets was appointed on 15 November 2019; according to the regulations adopted, his duties will include exercising the rights attached to stocks or shares in most State Treasury companies.
